CONNECT seasonal espresso is currently the Huamantanga lot from Peru. It's a blend of 'day lots' from 36 different producers in the Jaen and San Ignacio provinces of Cajamarca and is named after a nature reserve which sits between them.

The lots were all processed on the producers farms before being delivered to Falcon Specialty's warehouse where they were graded, analysed for moisture content, roasted and cupped. The lots were then blended together based on cup profile, one typical of the region.

This lot is great example of the quality work which Falcon are doing at origin and comes with some inspiring and really ground-breaking traceability and financial transparency reporting. We visited Falcon in Peru this year to meet the producers whose lots contributed to this amazing coffee and see first-hand the financial and technical support they are providing for the producers and the quality improvements it has enabled them to make.
